61st Street has found a new home.

In a surprising turn, CW has picked up the Chicago made two-season series from AMC who dropped the series after Season 1 aired.

The series was originally ordered by AMC as part of a two-season pickup. Seasons 1 and 2 were filmed simultaneously in Chicago in 2021. Season 1 aired in the spring of 2022, however, Season 2 was dropped from their slate as part of cost cutting measures announced by AMC in December 2022.

The first season is set to air this fall on The CW, with the not yet seen Season 2 set for 2024.

The dramatic thriller, with a total of 16 episodes, is a propulsive courtroom drama starring Courtney B Vance, that follows Moses Johnson (Tosin Cole), a promising, black high school athlete, who is swept up into the infamously corrupt Chicago criminal justice system.
