The awards ceremony for the 54th Annual Chicago International Television Festival packed AMC River East in Streeterville last Thursday night.
The evening began with a reception in the Wine Room at the Lucky Strike bowling alley, restaurant, and lounge, which is located on the second floor of the building where the theater resides.
Executive directors, agency owners, and independent filmmakers warmed up with food and drink before getting down with a celebration of “The Art of the Commercial.”
The screening and awards ceremony was hosted by legendary CBS anchor and contributor Jay Levine. Among the winners in attendance were Burrell Chief Creative Officer Lewis Williams, Energy BBDO Account Director Rob Morrison, and Quriosity Executive Producer Qadree Holmes, who showed up with small legion of enthusiastic staff members.
The event made a fitting climax to the festival’s three-day celebration, which also included programs highlighting local LGBTQ talent, the premiere of Roseanne, and the screening of a new from Dick Wolf’s hit Chicago Fire series.
