50 Cent “Caught” in Grand Rapids

“CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE,” starring 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson), a medium-budget indie police corruption crime thriller, is shooting in Grand Rapids for three weeks, with an L.A. production crew.

Chris Klein, Adam Rodriquez and Richard T. Jones also star. Newcomer and Grand Rapids native Brian Miller is the writer/director.

Jackson is executive producer and his Cheetah Vision Films partner, Randall Emmett, is producing with R. D. Miller, who raised the financing.

Grand Rapids is also being considered as the location for Georgia-based Cinepro Pictures’ $25 million post-apocalyptic thriller, “Tribes of October.”

Cinepro producer/director Philippe Martinez, made “The Chaos Experimen” thriller with Val Kilmer, in Grand Rapids last fall.

“Tribes” stars Ray Stevenson, Jaime King, Stephen Moyer and Robert Duvall and James Caan, who would be reunited on screen for the first time in 35 years, since they appeared in “The Godfather.”
