212 Creative Network and Independent Film Alliance (IFA) have joined forces on a unique collaboration for 212’s streaming platform, Aha.
The platform features creative professionals sharing their knowledge and expertise via filmmaker discussions, Q&As, webinars, panel discussions, and more. Additionally, Aha highlights talent in the Midwest to enhance their outreach, to potentially connect them to talent representation, and to foster employment and mentorship opportunities.
“Collaborating with IFA gives us the ability to uplift even more creative voices in the Midwest,” said Laura Hilker, Co-Founder of 212 Creative Network. “Our platform will feature both educational and highly curated original content from creatives who might not otherwise get the opportunity to have their voices heard and their projects seen.”
“We are thrilled to begin this partnership with 212 Creative Network and Aha. We look forward to providing Aha’s vast array of educational resources and creative content to our members,” said Angie Gaffney, Executive Director and Co-Founder of IFA Chicago. “We are proud of our Midwestern roots, and look forward to working with Aha towards our shared goal of cultivating midwest content creators.”
Independent Film Alliance Chicago is a 501c3 organization based in Chicago, Illinois. 212 Creative Network is a global network which connects creatives to the knowledge and resources they need to turn ideas into opportunities regardless of economic or geographic limitations.
Aha is a streaming platform providing virtual access to knowledge, resources, and opportunities for early stage creatives. Powered by a global network of creative professionals, Aha delivers virtual access to their unique knowledge in TV/film, animation, illustration, entreprenuership, game development, and more. Aha also hosts live events, such as webinars, table reads, and livestream Q&As. Instead of classes, courses, or technical instruction, Aha features knowledge from the unique point of view of the folks in the trenches and at the hear of the creative sector.
Aha was developed by creatives for creatives in collaboration with educators and creative groups around the Midwest. Additional support was provided by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, SEED Fort Wayne and the City of Fort Wayne.
