2022-2023 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Nominations announced

The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has announced the nominations for the 2022-2023 regional Emmy Awards.

The award ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th at the Swissotel, located at 323 E. Wacker Drive in Chicago.

The Chicago/Midwest Chapter extends its reach across a broad geographical region, encompassing various markets. These include Illinois markets of Chicago, Rockford, and Peoria-Bloomington, Wisconsin markets Milwaukee, Green Bay-Appleton, Madison, and Wausau-Rhinelander, as well as Indiana markets including South Bend-Elkhart.

Entries for the Emmy Awards undergo evaluation based on three main criteria: content, creativity, and execution. Each entry is assessed against a benchmark of excellence, and there are 82 diverse categories available for submissions.

The chapter has also announced the nominations for the College Student Production Awards. These awards will be presented during the Emmy ceremony on November 11th. Students attending colleges and universities within the chapter’s jurisdiction submitted worked produced as part of a class assignment, extracurricular activity, or as part of their academic coursework.

Founded in 1958, the Chicago Chapter of NATAS boasts a rich history in the field of broadcast television. It is one of the largest and most distinguished local chapters in the United States. Notably, it expanded its reach in the early 1990s, evolving into the Chicago/Midwest Chapter, which includes markets in two neighboring states.

Congratulations to Tessa Films, Michael Gabriele and Daily Planet Productions on their nominations.
