The pilot for what 20 West Productions hopes will become its second cable series that premiered May 5 on Discovery Health, as part of the network’s “Psych Week.”
The documentary company currently produces the MSNBC police reality series, “The Squeeze,” which won which won a couple of top 2010 Hugo awards for reality programming.
The hour-long pilot, “My Strange Addiction,” is part of Discovery Health’s “Psych Week.” Running May 2-6, “Psych Week” also tackles schizophrenia, dissociative identity, bipolar disorder, anxiety and rage.
Development director Jason Bolicki pitched “My Strange Addiction” to Discovery Health last August, and after a positive response, went almost immediately into production.
