13th Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival this weekend

The 13th Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWiFF) will be held at Chicago Filmmakers, 1326 W. Hollywood Avenue in Chicago, from July 14-22.

The 2023 festival will showcase twenty-three short and seven feature films on a single screen over the course of the week.

An additional four features will be exhibited in a new Dynamics Competition at various venues later this summer.

Of the thirty-four official selections, the competing films will consist of sixteen short narratives, seven feature documentaries, four feature narratives, four music videos, and three short documentaries.

“Congratulations to all of the 2023 Official Selections,” said Festival Operations Director Jonathan C. Legat following the official selections announcement on June 7. “We look forward to exhibiting your work at our 13th annual festival this summer.”

Tickets for each evening session are $15 and will showcase a collection of short films followed by a feature narrative or documentary. Nightly screenings begin at 7pm. No screenings July 17-18.
