Music Box Films acquires Venezuelan thriller

MUSIC BOX FILMS, the local distributor which has had a very good year with its “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” Millennium Trilogy and “Mesrine,” among other releases, has acquired Marcel Rasquin’s “Hermon.”

The Venezuelan sports and crime drama is about two brothers battling to escape the streets of Caracas and get their shot at pro soccer careers. It’s scheduled for a late spring release.

Also on the Music Box slate are the biopic “Gainsbourg,” about French pop star Serge Gainsbourg, and “Nannerl: Mozart’s Sister,” which debuted here at the Chicago International Film Festival. See
