In an industry where flashy promotions and “switch-to-save” deals reign supreme, UScellular is doing something refreshingly different: showing love to the customers who are already on board. And it’s striking a chord — and a few dance moves.
The nation’s fourth-largest wireless carrier has launched a new customer appreciation campaign as part of its month-long “US Days” celebration, and it’s proving that loyalty still counts. The campaign, which centers on rewarding current customers with exclusive deals and upgrades, kicked off with a joyful, dance-filled ad that’s gone viral across platforms.
At the heart of the campaign is an unexpected duo: real UScellular customer Jeremy Payne (J.P.) and retail Area Sales Manager Eric Larson, both hailing from Wisconsin. Neither Payne nor Larson considers acting in their day jobs, but they are basking in their newly found fame. Their undeniable chemistry and synchronized dance steps in the :15 and :30 spots have racked up nearly 15 million Meta impressions and 1.9 million YouTube views — far surpassing average engagement for the brand. “We created this new campaign to shine light on our US Days effort that rewards customers for being just that,” said Verchele Roberts, vice president of brand management at UScellular. “So many deals in our industry are focused on switching carriers, but we think it’s important to reward loyalty.”
Both Payne and Larson say fans on the street have stopped them since the ad dropped. Beyond the unexpected fame, the campaign has sparked something deeper: a friendship. “We didn’t know each other before this experience. We have different backgrounds and are different ages, yet this experience brought us together as close friends, and for that, I’m extremely grateful,” said Payne.
US Days, originally launched in 2024, runs through April 23 and includes a variety of exclusive promotions and in-store events aimed at thanking longtime customers.
And while the wireless industry might still be chasing new customers with aggressive promos, UScellular is showing that sometimes, the best move is to dance with the ones who brought you.
