Tylerman International Film Festival returns to Cantigny Park

The Tylerman International Social Awareness Film Festival returns to Cantigny Park in Wheaton on August 2 – 3 for its seventh annual showcase of films that challenge, inspire, and raise awareness about important social issues.

Founded by filmmaker and activist Andrew Tyler, the festival has become a vital platform for independent voices telling stories rooted in justice, culture, and community impact.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Cantigny’s expansive 500-acre park—with its museums, manicured gardens, and inviting outdoor spaces—the two-day event offers attendees an immersive experience that goes beyond film screenings. Along with a robust lineup of over 40 feature films, documentaries, and shorts, the festival hosts panel discussions, filmmaker Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities designed to foster connection and dialogue.

The 2025 festival continues its tradition of honoring outstanding work with a range of awards, highlighting films that not only entertain but also provoke meaningful conversations.

The 2025 Tylerman International Social Awareness Film Festival winners are:

Best Feature Film: Rewind

Best Story Line: Powernomics

Unity Partnership Social Awareness Award: Requiem For Black Love

The Tylerman Film Festival Choice Award – Imagine Peace
