The Bear announces release date for Season 4

The Bear

FX’s The Bear is set to return for its fourth season on Sunday, June 15, 2025, premiering on Hulu.

This marks a slight shift from the show’s traditional late-June debut, offering fans an earlier taste of the chaos, heart, and heat that define the Chicago-based restaurant drama.

Season 4 of the acclaimed culinary dramedy picks up after Season 3’s emotionally charged finale, where Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) must reckon with a harsh review from the Chicago Tribune, casting doubt on the future of his fine-dining gamble, The Bear. Meanwhile, Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) is faced with a tempting offer that could pull her away from the kitchen family she helped build, pushing her to weigh personal growth against loyalty and creative fulfillment.

The main ensemble returns, including Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Lionel Boyce as Marcus, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, Abby Elliott as Natalie, and Matty Matheson as Neil Fak. Jamie Lee Curtis will also reprise her role as Carmy’s troubled mother, Donna Berzatto.

Notably, Edebiri and Boyce have co-written an episode this season, showcasing their expanding creative roles within the series. Their writing collaboration brings an insider’s sensitivity to the emotional rhythms of the kitchen and the characters’ inner lives. Their episode focuses on the personal journeys of Sydney and Marcus, highlighting quieter, more reflective moments amid the daily stress of restaurant life. Their contribution reflects the show’s ongoing commitment to character-driven storytelling, with the unique bonus of actors shaping the narratives they inhabit.

As The Bear enters Season 4, it continues to serve up an honest, intimate portrayal of ambition, grief, community, and the cost of excellence—proving again why it remains one of the most talked-about shows on television.
