Studio Jijiji and Val Gobos team up to redefine audio advertising

The next chapter in immersive sound is being written in Chicago. Award-winning audio storytelling studio Studio Jijiji has partnered with Val Gobos, head of Gobos Film & Entertainment (GFE), to launch a new suite of immersive audio advertising services designed for brands, agencies, and creators.

The collaboration brings together Studio Jijiji’s deep expertise in sonic branding, immersive 3D audio, and narrative-driven sound design with Gobos’ decades of experience spanning film, television, advertising, and the arts. Through GFE, Gobos has long been a connector between agencies, brands, and top creative partners worldwide. Now, the partnership promises to give advertisers the same creative edge that Studio Jijiji has brought to original projects and experimental audio storytelling.

“Val brings the strategic vision and global network, we bring the sound and story,” said Chris McHale, Studio Jijiji’s Chief Creative Officer.

“I’ve spent my career collaborating with brilliant directors, writers, dreamers, filmmakers, and brands,” said Gobos. “Partnering with Chris and Studio Jijiji allows us to expand that vision into immersive sound experiences that audiences will not only hear, but remember.”

The announcement coincides with the studio’s flagship production, Song in Space, an original audio drama being produced in Chicago. The series will premiere in front of a live audience at the 2112 Creative Incubator and stream globally on October 20, 2025. The project highlights the immersive storytelling and audio innovation that Studio Jijiji and GFE are now extending to clients.

Song in Space represents a calling card for the studio’s vision of where sound can take audiences. By blending music, science fiction, and cutting-edge 3D audio, it encapsulates their mission to make stories that are not only heard, but felt. Its Chicago debut signals Studio Jijiji’s growing role as a hub for boundary-pushing audio production, showcasing the kind of immersive storytelling and audio innovation that the partnership now offers to brands.

McHale framed the mission simply: “In a world flooded with visual noise, sound is the most direct path to emotion, and emotion is what moves people to act.”

Studio Jijiji’s Audio Advertising Suite includes:

  • Custom Sonic Branding – audio identities that make brands instantly recognizable.
  • Immersive 3D & Spatial Audio Spots – tailored for streaming platforms, podcasts, gaming, and AR/VR.
  • Narrative-Driven Ad Campaigns – blending story and sound for maximum impact.
  • Cross-Platform Audio Strategy – aligning sound with digital and social campaigns.
  • Music – Signature Scores, Soundtracks, Music Compostion and Music Crafted for Storytelling.

The timing couldn’t be better. With podcast ad revenue projected to top $4 billion by 2027, and research showing sonic branding boosts recall by 96%, immersive sound is fast becoming the next creative frontier.

With this new venture, Studio Jijiji and Gobos Film & Entertainment are positioned at the forefront of immersive audio advertising, giving brands a powerful new way to cut through the noise.
