Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) has promoted longtime strategist Joe Raser to Chief Strategy Officer. Raser, who joined the agency in 2018 and most recently served as Executive Director of Strategy, will now oversee strategic planning across SCC’s expanding client roster.
The move marks the latest step in CEO and President Ben Behrman’s transformation of SCC’s leadership team, which now includes Raser alongside Chief Creative Officer Craig Miller and Chief Client Officer Amy Cesta.
“Joe has been a relentless question-asker, a thoughtful partner, and a strategic force since day one,” said Behrman. “His fingerprints are on some of our most successful client relationships and new business wins. This promotion reflects both his leadership and the value he brings to every challenge.”
A Chicago native, Raser began his career at GMMB in Washington, D.C., where he helped launch the brand strategy discipline and worked on initiatives for Teach For America, the College of the Holy Cross, and AFSCME. At SCC, he’s been behind some of the shop’s most acclaimed work, including the US Highbush Blueberry Council’s “Blueberries GO BIG” platform, as well as shaping strategy for clients like Lowe’s, LiftMaster, Old National Bank, Ortega, and Casey’s.
The promotion comes during a busy year for SCC. The agency has rolled out new campaigns for household names like GUM and SOLO, while also scoring fresh wins with Ortega, American Egg Board, Toad&Co, and the Almond Board of California.
