Adina Kwasigroch, re:think’s new producer

At their two year anniversary mark, fast-growing design-driven/ 3D re:think studios hired its ninth staff member.  Adina Kwasigroch joined Monday as visual effects producer, after stints as producer at effects studio Vitamin and associate producer at tabletop specialists MK Films.

At Vitamin she worked on 3D modeling projects for Bayer products, Sonic food chain and Cricket mobile.

Her experience in both computer graphics and a traditional film studio will be very beneficial to re:think clients, notes founder and director of CGI Brian Bullock, partner with operations manager John McGrath.

“That unique combination that can only benefit our clients as the physical camera and visual camera are increasingly utilized to blend into the same shot,” Bullock says.  “Some projects need to be animated to convey the product’s purpose and that’s where 3D proves how invaluable it is.”

Kwasigroch joins a staff that includes five 3D modeling/animation artists, a motion graphics/AfterEffects artist, and an editor, who focus on photo-realistic 3D modeling and animation and motion graphics.

Recent clients include Illinois Lottery/Downtown Partners and New York-based The Vault digital agency for ESPN and The Rotter Group for a new video game.

Are:think partners John McGrath and Brian Bullock.lthough re:think studios is relatively new, it was one of the first companies dedicated exclusively to computer-generated imagery that is rapidly replacing traditional types of shooting.

McGrath, a versatile 25 year veteran with a background in editing, was Cutters, Inc.’s general manager for 20 years and Bullock was head of CGI at Cutters’ division SOL designfx for nearly a decade.  McGrath joined Bullock to form the company after Bullock had worked on his own for the previous year.

re:think’s significant growth in the past six months includes an informal partnership with Kansas City’s T2 studios and its experiential division that’s finding a large and receptive market in Chicago.

re:think studios will expand into 5,000-sq. ft. studios in the West Loop early next year. McGrath says he expects their staff will triple during the first half of the year “as
3D continues to supplement 2D and replace the traditional camera.”
