CREATIVES AFTER 5. “Family Forensic” is a new A&E series created and produced by Glenn Marrichi, president/CEO of The Marketing Identity, an advertising strategic consulting agency. In the series, a family’s belongings are examined by psychologists and investors to discover secrets of the past.

There’s word that NBC might turn Steffan Postaer’s first published novel, “The Last Generation,” into a TV series. Postaer is Euro RSCG’s top creative.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE for talent agent Linda Jack’s husband, Mike Jablonski, who died after a long bout with cancer, will be held Monday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Apollo Theater. Friends are invited to attend and encouraged to share memories and stories. Linda Jack’s office phone is 312/587-1155.

CHANGING TIMES. New at Point B Communications: ACDs Adam Kline and Kevin Gruber, and senior art director Carol Holderfield … Radar added editor Mary Roland, a founding partner of Machete Edit … Reps Mary Ida Bonadio (who lives in New York) and Donna Daguanno split their partnership after a year of togetherness … Alan Steele joined Euro RSCG 4D as president. He formerly was with Acxiom Global Consulting Group, a company he founded.

CHICAGO RESIDENT JOAN CUSACK is the narrator (Peep) of “Peep and the Big Wide World,” half-hour children’s series that airs on TLC and the Discovery Channel. The show’s Canadian producers fly in regularly for the recording sessions at ARU.

NEVER TOO LATE for a new line of work, as Charna Halperin makes her big screen debut in “Danny Roane: First Time Director,” a film by Andy Dick, her former ImprovOlympics’ pupil. ImprovOlympics is now known simply as I.O. Chicago, as a result of settlement of a name conflict with an L.A. company. Dick is a headliner at the I.O.’s Alumni Anniversary Reunion, Aug. 27 at the Chicago Theatre.

BACK TO WORK. Indie filmmaker John Digles, producer Leigh Jones, entertainment attorney Randy Crumpton and IFP/Chicago exec director Elizabeth Donius are back from a fact-packed, hard-working week at the Sundance Producers Seminar in Park City, Utah.

AN IMPRESSIVE PANEL of top creatives will judge entries for the Sept. 29 Chicago Creative Club awards. They are: Joe Duffy, Duffy & Partners/Minneapolis; Ann Hayden, Saatchi & Saatchi/New York; John Matejczyk, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners/ San Francisco; Peter McHugh, Carmichael-Lynch/Minneapolis; Guy Seese, Cole & Weber Red Cell/Seattle, and Martin Strazovec, Draft/Toronto.

NEW ROLE FOR HARLAN HOGAN, who put his voiceover assignments aside to take a role in “Dimension,” an indie feature written and directed by Matthew Harris of Rusted Rhino Productions. Fellow actors were Paul Turner and Mary Kay Cook. Final scenes were shot atop a Vail, Colorado mountain, described by Hogan as “a fairly precarious rocky climb up the side of a cliff to 12,000 feet.”

LINE 9’S JEFF MARPE has a hit a wall. He needs to find screenwriter David Lee in order to ink a distribution deal for “Hunter’s Moon,” a 28-minute movie Marpe directed and Lee wrote. Star was James Denton (resident punk on “Desperate Housewives”) and cameraman was Brian Hokom, now in L.A. Lee was an ad salesman for Ruth L Ratny’s Original Screen Magazine for years before heading for L.A. If his whereabouts is known to you, please have him contact Marpe at 312/942-1446.
