Quality Meats hires Jonathan King as Head of Growth

Independent creative agency Quality Meats has appointed Jonathan King as its new Head of Growth, signaling the agency’s next phase of expansion.

Founded just four years ago, the agency has grown from a small startup to over 20 full-time employees and boasts a client roster that includes brands like Huggies, U by Kotex, Biore, SAXX Underwear, and DoorDash.

Based in Chicago, King, brings over a decade of experience in the advertising industry. He joins Quality Meats from Havas Chicago, where he most recently served as EVP Head of Growth. His career has included leadership roles at agencies like VMLY&R, DDB, and Deutsch, working with iconic brands such as Kraft Heinz, Molson Coors, and Capital One. His achievements have garnered numerous industry accolades, including Cannes Lions and Effies.

In his new role, King will oversee agency growth strategies, including pitch management, agency marketing, and partnership expansion. Reporting to Managing Director Amy Edwards, King’s entrepreneurial spirit and proven track record in account management are expected to drive continued success for the growing agency.

“Jonathan brings the exact chops (meat pun semi-intended) we need to help us get to the next phase of our growth as a young agency,” said Edwards. “He built his career in account management working hand-in-hand with some of the best brands on the planet, giving him a solid foundation for growth, which he’s mastered at shops like Havas. But really what sets Jonathan apart is his spirit. He’s a true entrepreneur at heart and also just a juggernaut.”

King expressed his enthusiasm for joining Quality Meats, highlighting the agency’s ambition and non-traditional approach to brand building. He emphasized his alignment with the agency’s vision and looks forward to contributing to its momentum.

“From our very first conversation, it was clear the Quality Meats team was ambitious and ready to think non-traditionally in their approach to brand building and fostering client relationships,” noted King. “Their creative work is physical proof of that. And in an industry that is demanding faster, more efficient, breakthrough work, they’re perfectly poised to deliver greatness to their partners. I very much align with this spirit, and cannot wait to be a part of the agency’s momentum.”

Edwards praised King’s expertise and entrepreneurial spirit, stating that his background in working with top global brands makes him the perfect fit to lead Quality Meats into its next stage of growth.
