Ogilvy’s EP Byrne now heads Frequency 540 production

Fast-growing digital marketing agency Frequency 540 (FQ540) has brought aboard award-winning Larry Byrne as executive director/production, who’d been with Ogilvy for 14 years.

He leads integrated content production for Frequency540 (FQ540) clients that include U.S. Cellular, Lincoln Park Zoo, SunPower and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. 

Byrne says his role is a chance to shape the future of creative content. “Technology has made it possible to tailor unique messages for individuals, but it’s meaningless if it’s not personal. Frequency540 gets this.”

He will report to digital marketing visionary Andrew Swinand, who founded FQ540 in 2011. Previously, Swinand had spent a decade at Starcom MediaVest where he rose to become president of global operations. FQ540 currently employs more than 40 and has offices at 111 E. Wacker.

The name comes from a frequency of 540 Hertz, the optimal to be seen by the human eye.

As Ogilvy’s senior partner/chief production officer, Byrne led

led global and integrated campaigns for SC Johnson, Miller Brewing, Sears and Dove among others, overseeing initiatives in broadcast, digital, social, radio and print.

 

He also oversaw Eyepatch ProductionsOgilvy New York’s in-house editing/production facility,that included award-winning work for Kimberly-Clark and the Chicago Blackhawks.

At FQ540, Byrne also works closely with Suzanne Michaels who heads the creative department.
