Gaaaaah! Sorry, that was my inner fan girl screaming at the notion that there is a national campaign with Grammy-nominated OneRepublic.

Two-year boutique agency Highdive, led by former DDB creative execs Mark Gross and Chad Broude, has created a bouncy total market summer advertising campaign called, “Summer of Jeep” for you guessed it… Jeep. Actually, the campaign also revolves around all of the Fiat Chrysler (FCA) brands including Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and FIAT.

What’s nice here is that the creative which continues the sixth season of “Summer of Jeep,” deftly intertwines stories that highlight Jeep and the Apple experience allowing people to get the most out of the time before, during and after a live show. In this case, that live show is headlined by multiplatinum, Grammy-nominated band OneRepublic of Interscope Records.

Gaaaaah!

Sorry again. Not familiar with the Apple Experience? Last month, FCA began offering customers in the U.S. and Canada an incredible Apple experience in their cars, which includes up to six months free of Apple Music* with the purchase of any new Chrysler, Dodge, FIAT, Jeep or Ram vehicle with standard CarPlay support.

With Apple CarPlay, FCA customers can listen to music, make calls, send and receive messages, play audiobooks and podcasts, get directions optimized for traffic conditions and more. Playlists curated by participating artists in FCA’s summer advertising campaign are now available exclusively on Apple Music.

“FCA offers an incredible Apple experience, giving consumers the ability to enjoy Apple Music’s catalog of 45 million songs and to listen with premium BeatsAudio sound, in addition to all the features that come with CarPlay,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, FCA.

Here, The 2018 Jeep Compass navigates the summer fun with OneRepublic’s “Connection” amplified by the Apple experience to deliver a memorable sound.

The “Summer of Jeep” multicultural work continues the “Take the concert with you” theme and features tracks by both Sofia Reyes’ “1, 2, 3” and will.i.am’s “Boys and Girls.”

Francois was excited about the musical “collabs” saying, “This collaboration inspired us to leverage the strength and identity of each of our individual brands. Additionally, as the only automaker to now offer branded playlists on Apple Music, this allows us to provide increased relevance to targeted audiences.”

“With this new campaign, Interscope continues our relationship with the FCA-crafting campaigns that speak to the power of music,” said Steve Berman, Vice Chairman Interscope Geffen A&M Records. “Our diverse roster and FCA’s respect for the magic of artistry and the creative process are evident in the new Summer of Jeep spot featuring OneRepublic.”

The full campaign launches on social and digital on Wednesday, June 27, and across television beginning Monday, July 2.
