NBC has set the air date for the highly anticipated One Chicago crossover event.
This will be the first full three-show crossover between Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med in five years, following interruptions caused by the pandemic and industry strikes.
The One Chicago crossover event is scheduled to air on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, on NBC.
Episodes will air consecutively, starting with Chicago Med at 7 p.m. CT, followed by Chicago Fire at 8 p.m. CT, and concluding with Chicago P.D. at 9 p.m. CT.
The One Chicago crossover is currently filming in Chicago. The storyline will focus on a massive explosion in a Chicago office building, creating a citywide emergency that involves the fire department, police, and medical teams. This large-scale event continues the tradition of interconnected storytelling in the franchise, blending the unique perspectives of each show into a dramatic, unified narrative.
Here’s the official logline:
“When a gas explosion rocks a high-rise, Chicago’s first responders come out in force to rescue hundreds of civilians. The calamity beneath the surface, however, sends our heroes on a race to save 40 people trapped deep underground, including two of their own.”
Anastasia Puglisi, Supervising Producer on Chicago Fire, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming One Chicago crossover episode. She highlighted the uniqueness and excitement of the event, emphasizing how it allows the interconnected stories of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med to come together on an epic scale. Puglisi noted the tremendous effort from cast and crew to deliver a narrative that would showcase the best of what the franchise offers.
“Putting together what is essentially a three-hour action movie is an incredibly ambitious task requiring complete coordination across our writers, casts, crews, and producers, along with help from the city of Chicago,” said Pulisi. “We’re thrilled to have the best talent in every department to meet this challenge, reinforce the #OneChicago brand, and provide our fans with a unique and compelling viewing experience.”
