MICHAEL SMITH’S debut feature “The Minx” has its local premiere in a DVD release party May 12 at Schuba’s Tavern. “The Minx” DVD is due out May 15.
The story is about a modern-day Robin Hood, who steals from corporations to feed the homeless and finds herself in a love triangle between a reporter and a CEO.
Mia Park, a fixture in the local rock and theatre scenes and host of the CAN TV dance show “Chic-A-Go-Go” leads a cast that includes Circus-Szalewski (“The Rockville Slayer”), Duane Sharp, and Manny Toro.
Smith shot in Chicago and Hong Kong. DP is Daaimah Mubashshir. Editor/AD, Bernice Man. Smith wrote the script with Vincent Francone, directed, and produced through his Wandering Way Productions. Music by Dan Agosto.
