Hip Hop Film Fest in full swing at Kennedy King

THE THANK GOD FOR HIP-HOP FILM FESTIVAL & ACTION CONFERENCE runs through Jan. 15 at Kennedy King College, 6800 S. Wentworth Ave. The festival is a production of the Chicago Local Organizing Committee of the National Hip-Hop Political Convention.

Featuring “Birth of a Nation,” hip-hop classics “Wild Style” and “Krush Groove,” Mark Harris’ standup comedy film “Barber Shop Jokes Live in Chicago,” Parris Reaves’ urban drama “When Thugs Cry.”
