Post production guru Scott Jacobs has come up with VideoDailies?, an innovative time and money-saving idea that launches this week as a new service provided by Global Video.
The overnight service?whose slogan is “shoot, sleep, edit”?will digitize any and all HD and standard definition video for use the next day. It launches this week.
VideoDailies? aim is to bridge the gap between the formats cinematographers want to shoot and the decisions editors must make when they ingest that material into their editing systems, said Jacobs, the new company’s general manager.
Its biggest selling feature is the ability to place an order online. Clients can monitor every detail of their job, from checking to see if the order’s been received, to its completion.
