FX announces premiere date for The Bear Season 4

The Bear

Grab your Xanax. Season four of The Bear, the hit FX series with deep Chicago roots, will premiere in its entirety on Hulu starting Friday, June 25 at 7 p.m. CT. Internationally, the series will continue to stream on Disney+. The full-season drop continues the show’s binge-friendly tradition, a holdover from the FX on Hulu days.

Led by Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, season four picks up with Carmy, Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) striving to elevate The Bear — no longer just the show’s title but also the name of their newly minted fine-dining establishment.

“With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome,” according to the FX official synopsis. “This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better — it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”

The ensemble cast also features Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and real-life chef Matty Matheson, with recurring roles from Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon. The series was created by Christopher Storer, who executive produces alongside Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer continues to serve as co-executive producer and culinary producer, ensuring the show’s kitchen drama remains as authentic as ever.

After making waves with her directorial debut on the critically acclaimed episode “Napkins,” Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri is expanding her creative role on The Bear. The Chicago-set FX series returns this June for its highly anticipated fourth season, and Deadline has confirmed that Edebiri and co-star Lionel Boyce have co-written an episode together — a first for the series’ cast.

As Chicago’s culinary scene continues to inspire the show’s heart and soul, season four promises to dish out even more tension, flavor, and emotional depth.
