Filmscape gears up for the 2021 show on Cinespace lot

Filmscape announces a hybrid model of online and in-person events for their 2021 show taking place on the Cinespace Chicago Film Studios lot August 28-29.

A nonprofit based in Chicago, Filmscape was founded with the goal of providing continuing free education for the film and television community in Chicago and beyond. Now in their third year, they continue their tradition of hosting the live multi-day event that combines the networking opportunities found at traditional trade shows with classes and technical training that spans the entire industry.

They will be hosting three educational tracks of in-person and online classes, geared towards the needs and interests of those involved in Grip & Electric, Production & Post, and Camera departments. This year they are also expanding their class offerings to include a broader range of topics beyond just the technical aspects of filmmaking. There will be streaming classes from special industry guests from around the world that will continue to make Filmscape safe and accessible to all.

Their exhibit floor will be filled with camera, lens and lighting manufacturers from across the film and television industry and they are bringing back hands-on demonstrations and the in-person interaction that allow for increased networking and strong community engagement.

Under the direction of their new Executive Director, Gary Adcock, they are looking at 2021 as an opportunity to increase their educational offerings as they foster greater awareness for Chicago’s production community.

The past year has taught us many things, but in particular it has shown the true value of community – at any size, from anywhere. Filmscape is eager for the chance to take this show to a national level, available to anyone with an internet connection, and not only those who can make the trip to Chicago.

Vendor showcase and Session registration is now open at FilmscapeChicago.com
