The official trailer for Deliver Me from Nowhere has arrived, offering the first full look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic about the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska. The film is set for theatrical release on October 24, 2025.
Directed by Scott Cooper and adapted from Warren Zanes’ book, the film explores a pivotal chapter in Springsteen’s life as he records a haunting, lo-fi solo album in the solitude of his New Jersey home. The trailer teases a moody, introspective tone—stripped-down, emotionally raw, and musically bare, just like Nebraska itself.
White, best known to Chicagoans for his role as Lip Gallagher in Shameless and as chef Carmy Berzatto in The Bear, delivers a physical and vocal transformation as “The Boss.” After years filming in Chicago’s South Side and kitchens across the city, White credits his time here with grounding him as an actor. “It felt like coming home,” he said of returning to shoot The Bear, and that same authenticity now defines his performance as Springsteen.
The film also stars Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau, with Odessa Young, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, and Gaby Hoffmann rounding out the cast. Both Springsteen and Landau endorsed the project and visited set during production.
The trailer showcases key moments from the recording process, as well as glimpses of Springsteen’s inner turmoil, family tension, and the stark beauty of the songs that would define his journey.
Jeremy Allen White gives a stellar performance in Deliver Me from Nowhere
For fans who’ve followed White since his early Chicago days, as a scrappy teen on the South Side in Shameless and later as a driven chef in The Bear, his role in Deliver Me from Nowhere marks a striking evolution. The trailer reveals a performance that cements his rise as a powerful leading man—layered, focused, and fully transformed.
