Chicago Fire star David Eigenberg surprised the real-life heroes of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Station 16 in Watts — one of the houses featured on the new Dick Wolf unscripted show — to get to know the squad, share his appreciation for their hard work, and treat the team to a well-deserved lunch.
Eigenberg, who plays veteran firefighter Christopher Herrmann on Chicago Fire, met with Station 16’s tenured Captain Dan Olivas to swap stories about what it means to portray a firefighter on TV, on both scripted and unscripted shows. He also got a special walkthrough tour of the station and the firetrucks, and got a chance to preview LA Fire & Rescue ahead of the show’s premiere.
