To celebrate the Chicago International Film Festival’s (CIFF) 60th anniversary, this year’s campaign—titled “Movies that Move You”—features the voice of Chicago’s own John C. Reilly and beautifully crafted visuals that nod to the festival’s enduring legacy.
Created by Ogilvy North America, the campaign uses the numbers 6 and 0 as clever visual “windows,” pairing diverse movie scenes screened across decades in ways that highlight shared themes, emotions, or cinematic styles. This symbolic design reinforces CIFF’s role in spotlighting films that resonate on an emotional level, bridging past and present narratives.
This year’s concept continues to reinforce CIFF’s impact and deep commitment to film artistry, honoring its legacy while inviting new generations of cinephiles. Watch below:
Running across out-of-home (OOH), wild postings, online video (OLV), social media, print, audio, and on-premise touchpoints, the campaign’s high-impact visuals and Reilly’s narration pay homage to CIFF’s history as North America’s longest-standing film festival.

Ogilvy’s collaboration with CIFF marks the seventh consecutive year of expertly crafted campaigns, reinforcing CIFF’s mission to champion the best of global cinema while inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the unique and powerful storytelling CIFF has curated over the decades.
For the seventh consecutive year, Ogilvy has crafted CIFF’s campaign with a meticulous blend of creativity and sophistication, deploying it across digital, print, and social media platforms, as well as outdoor and in-venue advertising.
