Chicago’s Jennifer Hudson channels Whitney Houston for Halloween

Jennifer Hudson

JHud paid homage to Whitney Houston with a striking Halloween tribute on The Jennifer Hudson Show, transforming into Houston’s Queen of the Night character from The Bodyguard. Hudson’s outfit recreated the bold look Houston wore during her performance of the hit song, capturing the edgy, metallic essence that made the character unforgettable.

Hudson’s costume featured a fitted top with a diamond cutout, a structured metallic bust, and a skirt of shimmering silver beads, topped off by a Cleopatra-inspired necklace, headpiece, and metallic gloves. She completed the look with black thigh-high boots—an essential element seen on The Bodyguard movie poster—which added to the fierce pop star aura of the outfit. Hudson’s boots featured a slouchy design and pointed toe, staying true to Houston’s original look. Watch below:

Known for her style versatility, Hudson recently sported a $35 heeled ankle boot by Journee Collection, made with vegan leather, during a show segment with her boyfriend, Common.

Hudson’s Queen of the Night costume has resonated with fans, highlighting her admiration for Houston’s legacy while delivering a nostalgic Halloween moment.
