Every year the Imagen Foundation celebrates positive portrayals of Latinos in the media. This year Lisseth Chavez, Chicago P.D. received the nomination for Best Supporting Actress: Television, and the Dick Wolf franchises have received four nominations.
Often referred to as “The Latino Golden Globes,” the Imagen Awards, which was founded by legendary television producer Norman Lear, serve to recognize and encourage positive depictions of the Latino community in film and television and honor accurate portrayals of Latinx characters.
Over the years, Wolf Entertainment programs have received dozens of Imagen Award nominations and five wins between Law & Order: SVU, Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire, and Law and Order: LA.
This year the Dick Wolf franchises have received four nominations in the following catagories:
Best Primetime Program: Drama
Law & Order: SVU
Best Director
Batan Silva, Law & Order: SVU
Best Supporting Actor: Television
Guillermo Diaz, Law & Order: SVU
Best Supporting Actress: Television
Lisseth Chavez, Chicago P.D.
Manni Perez, Law & Order: SVU

The Imagen Foundation President Helen Hernandez announced the 114 nominees in 20 categories for this year’s 35th Annual Imagen Awards.
The award show has expanded by adding three new categories: Best Director in Television, Best Music Composition for Film and Television, and Best Music Supervision for Film and Television.
The Imagen Awards nominees are determined by an independent panel of entertainment industry executives and Latino community leaders. The Imagen Awards will be presented virtually Thursday, September 24th, at 5:00 PM.
