Here’s a good start to the New Year of media and entertainment in Chicago. Dick Wolf’s latest franchise, “Chicago Med,” will have an 18 episode first season, having received a five-episode back order from NBC.
Four telecasts into its run, the new show scored 8.9 million viewers overall in Live+Same Day and consistently winning its time period.
“Chicago Med” stars Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Rachel DiPillo, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee and Torrey DeVitto.
Since “Chicago Med” is off to a great start, and “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD” already have been renewed for next season, long rumored “Chicago Law” could become Dick Wolf’s fourth show here.
