Chicago Fire actor Daniel Kyri, known for his role as firefighter Darren Ritter, recently shared that he had been in the hospital.
In a heartfelt post on social media during election week, Daniel revealed his determination to cast his vote despite his hospitalization. The actor posted a photo from his hospital bed, where he was seen hooked up to oxygen and an IV, expressing his commitment to voting in the election with the help of hospital staff and his friend, Jack.
āI was hospitalized Sunday,” he wrote in the post. “Initially planned to vote yesterday but spent the day in the ICU. I wanted to vote in this election.ā He went on to encourage others to vote, saying, āThere are so many ways to do it. Please vote.ā
Support poured in from fans and colleagues, including co-star Miranda Rae Mayo, who plays Lieutenant Stella Kidd on Chicago Fire. She commented, “Thatās my baby š„° THATāS MY DAAAD,” showing her support for Kyri.
Kyri’s character, Darren Ritter, has been a significant part of Chicago Fire since his debut in Season 7. Recently, Ritter transitioned to Truck 81, working under Lieutenant Stella Kidd, which has introduced new dynamics and interactions within the firehouse.
