The strikes have settled and after a long hiatus the One Chicago team is back to work! The impact of the strikes disrupting normal production schedules, caused a lot of eager fans to wait for new content.
The industry can now get back on track, offering a sense of relief to the cast and crew, and the audience. The Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med production offices are open and the crews are returning to work.
Here are the prep and filming schedules.
Chicago Fire
As we reported earlier, Chicago Fire crews will begin prep on Monday, November 13 for the first episode of Season 12. Chicago Fire first day of filming is Monday, November 27.
There were several cliff hangers in the Season 11 finale that will likely be resolved in this first episode of the season. Will Mouch (Christian Stolte) recover? Will Brett (Kara Killmer) say yes to Casey’s (Jesse Spencer) proposal? Will Severide (Taylor Kinney) return home with Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo)?
We’ll soon find out the answers in the season premiere.
Chicago P.D.
Chicago P.D. will also bring in their crews on November 13 to begin prepping the stages. Chicago P.D. first day of filming of Season 11 is Monday, November 27.
The Season 10 finale cliffhanger left us with Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) mortally wounded, being rushed to the hospital with Burgess (Marina Squerciati) by his side.
We’ll soon be announcing the date for the season premiere.
Chicago Med
Chicago Med construction crews will be back to work on Wednesday, November 15 to begin prepping for the first episode of Season 9. Chicago Med first day of filming of Season 9 is Wednesday, November 29.
We were left with a big surprise in the Season 8 finale when Nick Gehlfuss left the series. Once Gehlfuss let the creative team know he was leaving, they knew the best way out was to rekindle the relationship between Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) who has been gone from the show for two seasons but returned for the finale. The two will live happily ever after as he joins her and her son in Seattle to start over.
