Our friends at Camera Ambassador have lot of exciting news. Chicago’s premier camera rental house and production resource hub, announces an exciting two-day event featuring the Camera Ambassador & Friends Lab during Filmscape (June 21-22) and a grand opening celebration of its new location at CineCity Studios.
The Camera Ambassador & Friends Lab transforms the traditional vendor experience into an immersive, hands-on demonstration space. Industry leaders will showcase their latest innovations:
- MYT Works will demonstrate their state-of-the-art prep bays, featuring four 25-foot Opti-Glide Camera Glider systems designed to revolutionize camera and lens checkout processes
- Band Pro will showcase the latest Angenieux Ultra compact zooms, EZ series, and Optimo primes, alongside the Sony Venice 2 and Burano cameras
- Noisefloor will operate a satellite foley stage where participants can create movie sound effects and explore video podcasting in their custom booth
“We’ve reimagined how industry professionals interact with equipment,” says Erica Duffy, Owner of Camera Ambassador. “This lab isn’t just about showing gear – it’s about creating an environment where everyone can learn, experiment, and connect with the tools that bring their creative visions to life.”

Filmscape After-Party
The grand opening celebration and official Filmscape after-party will take place on Saturday, June 21st, from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
Located at CineCity Studios on Floor 3R at 1414 S Western Ave, the celebration will feature:
- Exclusive facility tours showcasing state-of-the-art equipment and resources
- Artist feature and 50’ mural unveiling by Sarah Conway
- Open bar featuring craft beers from Old Irving Brewery
- Gourmet catering by Beyond Catering
- Live DJ entertainment
- Specialty treats by GOODYESBAKED
- Networking opportunities with industry professionals
The event is co-hosted and sponsored by industry leaders including CineCity, Filmscape, Noisefloor, Arri, Bandpro, Angenieux America, and FD Times. FD Times will be collecting photos and quotes for a special multi-page spread featuring Camera Ambassador.
