CAF Summer Diversity Mixer returns with ‘In The Season’ theme

The Chicago Advertising Federation (CAF) has announced its highly anticipated 2025 Summer Diversity Mixer, taking place on Thursday, July 17 at The Metropolitan Club in downtown Chicago.

This year’s theme, ‘In The Season’ speaks to the importance of joy and visibility during a time of social and cultural challenge. Hosted by CAF’s Diversity Thought Leadership Council (DTLC), the annual event brings together a wide range of professionals—brand marketers, agency leaders, creatives, students, and allies—for a night of networking, insight, and celebration.

A hallmark event for CAF, the Diversity Mixer brings together professionals from agencies, brands, media outlets, platforms, and martech companies. Attendees can expect dynamic networking opportunities, a powerful keynote presentation, and an interactive idea exchange designed to highlight and celebrate the impact of diversity in advertising.

“Creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and empowered is central to what we do at CAF,” said Qadree Holmes, CAF Board Director and DTLC Co-Chair. “The DTLC Summer Mixer is more than a celebration—it’s a catalyst for progress. It’s where collaboration begins, where mentorship is born, and where the future of a more inclusive industry takes shape.”

The program will include a keynote message, a dynamic idea exchange, and appearances by featured speakers Tai Davis, the Chicago-based actress best known for her role as Tracy Roxboro on Showtime’s The Chi, and J. Ivy, a three-time Grammy Award-winning Spoken Word artist and poet. Their voices will anchor the night’s conversation on creativity, identity, and industry change.

The evening will also feature a DJ, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction benefiting local nonprofits. Early registration is encouraged as this popular event routinely fills to capacity.

Now in its 120th year, CAF continues to champion the local advertising industry through education, advocacy, and community leadership.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now through the CAF website. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited.
