Get your hair crimpers, neon shades, double Izods, acid wash jean jackets, and Tretorn sneakers ready for a fun evening with the Chicago screening of The Breakfast Club, along with Anthony Michael Hall who is in Chicago filming his new movie, The Class.

On Monday, July 26th  6:00pm, Generation Z meet Generation X at the Classic Cinemas Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove for a night of fun at the movies, to celebrate two Chicago-made movies and meet up with some celebrities; all for a good cause. This event is a benefit is to help a mutual friend of Anthony Michael Hall’s who lives in Chicago and suffers from MSA.

A totally tubular ‘80s event and evening with Anthony Michael Hall live on stage, featuring his first, exclusive, Chicago screening of The Breakfast Club, in support of his current filming of the new Generation Z high school drama, The Class.

Before the screening, Anthony Michael Hall will meet and greet the public, relive his 80s experiences with a Q&A on stage, introduce the cast and writer/director of his new movie, and surprise the audience with additional celebrity guests. 

Anthony Michael Hall is in Chicago filming his new movie, The Class, in which he executive produces and stars as his nemesis in The Breakfast Club, the Assistant Principal. Written and Directed by Chicago native, Nicholas Celozzi, The Class is a modern-day ‘Breakfast Club’ with a different story and diverse cast.

Some of the Gen Z actors in the film currently star in three 2021 Emmy-Award Nominated Television Series and will be at the event: Charlie Gillespie (Julie and The Phantoms/Netflix), Hannah Keppel (Cobra Kai/Netflix) and Lyric Ross (This Is Us/NBC). Additional cast includes Colin McCalla (Ruthless/BET+) and pop icon/actress Debbie Gibson

Anthony invited other surprise celebrity guests that confirmed attendance. 

The event will also be auctioning off a walk-on spot in The Class.

The Class currently filming in Chicago, is a coming-of-age drama about a group of high school seniors forced to spend a Saturday at school after failing or missing an exam. By the end of the day, they find their own values, betrayals, and love within themselves and their classmates.
