Some 225 attendees are expected to attend the annual AAF Chicago Advertising Awards – the Chicago ADDYS — March 16 at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, presented by the Chicago Ad Federation.
For at least the past 30 years, its mission has been to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
Chaired this year by DigitasLBi SVP/CD William Matznick, the ADDYS received more than 400 entries competing in seven main categories and about 100 subcategories.
In addition to traditional Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, other awards will go to the Agency of the Year, Client of the Year, Special Judges Citation, Best in Show and Best in each category.
Entries were judged by advertising creative executives from across the country.
Chicago ADDY Gold winners will be automatically entered into a second tier of winners in the Sixth AAF District, one of 15 such American Advertising Federation districts. These ADDY winners will then move forward to the Oaf’s national competition.
At 360 N. State, 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets for the Awards Reception are $150 members, $225 non-members, and include cocktails, dinner, awards presentation and tasting with KOVAL Distillery.
