Filmmaker Aleksandra Hodowany (right) is Miriam, a nervous actress whom Thea Emily Nelson as Cupcake interviews on her first day on the job as talent agent in the spoof of the modeling business.
Hodowany wrote, produced and co-directed with Monika Szewerniak. “Divas” was shot over five weeks in September and October, 2002 with a $500,000 budget. Sharon Zurek’s Black Cat Productions is editing and finishing “Divas” which will have its world premiere at the Gene Siskel Film Center July 30-August 5.
