Chicago Filmmakers is offering a free in person seminar on Illinois tax incentives for independent productions, co-presented with the Illinois Film Office and Full Spectrum Features. Followed by an info session for the Chicago Digital Media Production Fund.
There are many reasons to film in Illinois – diverse communities and locations, Chicago sights and architecture, talented actors and crews – but there’s one major financial reason that is often overlooked: tax incentives. In this seminar, we will be joined by Peter Hawley, Director of the Illinois Film Office, and Eugene Park, Executive Director of Full Spectrum Features, to discuss the Illinois Tax Credit and how independent productions can benefit from it.
Following the seminar, there will be an info session for the 2022 Chicago Digital Media Production Fund grant guidelines and application process. Prospective applicants and key creatives who are interested in submitting a project proposal are encouraged to attend!
