Tenacious D covers infamous ‘Time Warp’ for election

Let’s do the time warp againnnn… Pandemic style. Tenacious D covers the infamous popular rack of Rocky Horror Picture ShowTime Warp’.

It’s the fourth song in the cult classic movie musical, and the one sung by Riff Raff, Magenta and Columbia just as Brad and Janet have entered Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s creepy castle.

The song is a glam rock tribute to the many rock and roll songs about dance crazes and mainly just describes a dance called The Time Warp with very, very easy to follow instructions: Jump to the left, step to the right, put your hands on your hips, bend your knees in time, then pelvic thrust a whole bunch of times.

Titled Rock-y the Vote, Tenacious D (actually Jack Black and Kyle Gass) styled themselves in Rocky Horror character ensemble outfits in a home studio. There were multiple surprises from celebrities and politicians pushing to vote this election season, calling it Rock-y The Vote. Watch below:

It’s the perfect way of reliving the audience interaction along with the performance, pandemic style.
