Midwest Film Fest announces drive-in events

The Midwest Film Festival is delighted to announce three upcoming events to round out the 2020 season, all taking place at Chi-Town Movies Drive-In, located in Pilsen. Based on the sold-out success last month of Female Filmmakers Shorts Night, Erica Duffy, Executive Director, and the MFF Board, want to charge ahead with screenings, to fulfill plans that had been mapped out back in January.

Coming up quickly is “Union & Indie Passion Projects Night,” on Tuesday, September 29. On Thursday, October 22, it’s “Ad Community Shorts Night,” a perennial favorite. The last screening of the season is “Music Videos/Music in Movies” on Monday, November 16. Chi-Town Movies is located at 2343 S. Throop, Chicago.

“Each event is sure to be unique for the filmmakers, as well as the audience. How many people get to say their film was shown at a drive-in,” asks Duffy. “We had such a tremendous response at this venue, and it truly hit home how much the creative community values the Fest. We’re excited to present our next three theme nights, and are exploring ways in which we can support the wider community in this difficult time.”

Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.midwestfilm.com. Tiered pricing is offered, with VIP, general admission, and budget-friendly options. There is also a bundled package of tickets for all three nights, offered at a discount rate.
