gyro Chicago/Denver has brought the Make-A-Wish Foundation to life by transforming the organization’s name into the tagline.

This bright, beautiful campaign highlights the foundation’s core idea and heart. Many kids live beyond their illnesses, and a wish granted is often a critical turning point for them.
The opportunity to meet a princess or a sports hero inspires hope, and hope has benefits that are as positive as any medicine can be.
An excited gyro ECD Doug Kamp had this to say to Reel Chicago about the campaign, “The genesis of the idea really came down to the brief. There was a huge awareness issue and enrollment was down because people assume that Make A Wish is a final wish for a terminally ill child. The truth is that many recipients live beyond their diagnosis and that the Wish is often a turning point in their treatment. That insight was a turning point for us.”
He added, “We saw an opportunity to position Make-A-Wish as way to inspire recovery. Supported by concrete evidence that hope fosters healing. Shifting the emphasis away from wish fulfilment and anchored by the line “Hope is medicine”, Make A Wish realized they could change the conversation with both parents and care providers. Ultimately, they’d be able to reach more kids and positively impact move lives.”
