WGN-TV’s nostalgic two-hour special “Wrigley 100: A Century Celebration,” is scheduled to air April 20, 7-9 p.m. CDT, 14 months after WGN-TV’s production chief Bob Vorwald began production.
WGN-TV has nailed chats with all-time home-run king Henry Aaron and other Hall of Famers among some 70 completed interviews for a two-hour documentary on Wrigley Field’s 100th anniversary to air next spring.
WGN-TV has started production on a two-hour special to mark Wrigley Field’s 100th birthday in 2014, by traveling to tape interviews with great Cubs of the past, including one in Dallas with former Cy Young Award winner Greg Maddux.
Station officials declined to comment on the anniversary show, possibly because it’s too early in the game to provide any conclusive details.
