Over the course of his career, director / photographer Wilhelm Scholz has mastered the art of creating the right place at the right time. From Alaska to Hong Kong, from Libya to Peru, he has captured moments in ways that seem to have never occurred before or since.
Quriosity Productions spent days preparing to shoot Purina’s Big Moments campaign for St. Louis agency CheckMark Communications. But when the cameras started rolling, it all came down to a girl and a dog who had known each other less than two days.
“Purina wanted real moments of kids,” explains Quriosity founder and executive producer Qadree Holmes. “They love genuine honesty.”
When Quriosity senior producer Jennifer Lumpkin attended her first AICP Show at the Cultural Center four years ago, she was “overwhelmed” and remembers thinking, “It was gorgeous and so inspiring.”
On Thursday, Nov. 17, she’ll be at the show as a co-producer.
Lumpkin, one of several volunteers who worked on the show, planned to shadow five-year executive producer Gayle McCormick this year and assume the lead role in 2017, when McCormick steps down to accommodate her growing responsibilities as executive producer at Ogilvy.
