Turano Baking campaign celebrates 50th anniversary

The Jacobs Agency/Chicago has baked up a new outdoor campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of Chicago’s well-known baked goods institutions, Turano Baking Co.  The ad campaign launches this week.

Jacobs, which is celebrating its own 15th anniversary in business, kept the concept for the new Turano campaign simple and straightforward.  The core billboard ad states “Let’s celebrate 50!,” with a portion of the message spelled out in Turano’s iconic, best-selling loaves of bread.

Per Jacobs executive creative director Flora Caputo, the new work keeps Turano’s flagship products front and center to spark trial and sales.

The advertising, which will debut on area expressway billboards and on the CTA, Pace and Metra, is timed to coincide with the annual National Restaurant Association trade show at McCormick Place.  That event runs May 5 through 8.

Jacobs has been Turano’s agency of record since 2009.
