Picture and sound come together at Leviathan

DESIGN STUDIO LEVIATHAN and composer/sound designer Joel CorelitzWaveplant, have formed “a creative alliance” that sounds like a first. With Corelitz now sharing space in Leviathan’s West Loop studio, Leviathan could be the first studio to include a music and sound component.

Putting sound into Leviathan’s visual media studio, says Leviathan partner/EP Chad Hutson, “was an organic development that came from believing that creating audio and visuals should be part of the same process, not something we seek to unite afterwards.”

Some of Leviathan/Waveplant projects include Sony’s Playstation game, “The Unfinished Swan, for which Corelitz composed and produced the score, the Kelly Blue Book/Doner Detroit broadcast campaign, a North Face/Factory Design Labs spot and HP Touchsmart computers/Design Kitchen, whose “Play Big” web videos were finalists in the 2012 One Club Entertainment Awards.

Before starting his Waveplant in 2006, Corelitz had been a composer with Steve Ford Music.
