Adman Platcow’s PM Prime steakhouse opens Friday

ADD “RESTAURATEUR” to the lengthy resume of Steve Platcow, CEO of RPM Advertising. 

Earlier this year, Platcow and distinguished chef Dominic Zumpano bought Gabriel’s restaurant from the owner and turned the space into upscale PM Prime.

PM Prime will have its grand opening Friday night, July 11 in Gabriel’s former space at 310 Green Bay Road in Highwood, a town whose many dining options that attract diners from throughout the North Shore and beyond.

PM Prime can accommodate 85 diners, plus 20 in the outdoor café, and two private rooms can seat up to 35 guests.

“There will be something for everyone on the menu along with a selection of the world’s finest wines,” says Platcow, a Lake Forest resident. “It will be foodie friendly but will also be the place to go if you are a steak aficionado.”

LEO BURNETT HAS ONE LESS CLIENT, a rarity for an agency that traditionally tends to keep its clients happy for a long time.  Departing after only one year is the $100 million h.h. gregg electronics and home appliances account.  The Indianapolis-based retailer decided to return to its former agency, Zimmerman Advertising in Ft. MUSIC INDUSTRY EXPERTS MUSIC will dispense invaluable advice –- free to boot — on “How to Protect your Music and Yourself,” Wednesday, July 24, presented by the Lawyers for the Creative Arts’ music law program at the Music Garage, 345 S. Loomis, starting at 5:30 p.m.  

Experts are Barry Irwin, LCA Board member, principal at Irwin IP, and co-author of LCA Law Guide, Band Law for Bands; LCA associate board member, Jeffrey S.
